SEO Essentials

SEO is important for businesses of any size. However, it can be daunting at times and you may feel lost trying to optimize and drive traffic to your website. Here are some great tools to use for SEO of your website:

Google Analytics

If you have a website and/or use google ads, Google analytics is a must. Not only does it have a bounty of possibilities but being free doesn’t hurt either. In Google analytics you have the ability to see real time reports, meaning you can see the number of people currently on your site, where they are located, what page they are on, what they are doing, and more. You can also see stats for many things like demographics, behavior, and bounce rate. Plus if you are running a google ad, you can link it to your analytics account and see more in depth reports on how its doing.

Seobility offers both free and paid options. This tool will check your website’s SEO and give you suggestions for better optimizations. They also have a keyword checker which will tell you how well your page doing for certain keywords. There’s even a tool for building backlinks and much, much more.

This is another great tool for improving your website’s optimization. You can enter your domain name and it will provide reports on paid and organic traffic, google rankings, and whether your traffic is getting better or not. They also provide information on your competitors. Semrush allows you to see what keywords your competitors get the most traffic for as well as how great the competition is for certain keywords and the average prices per click for PPC ads.

And last but definitely not least, we have Yoast. Yoast is a free WordPress plugin that can be installed on any self-hosted WordPress website, however, there is also a paid premium option as well. It will automatically analyze your pages on your website and provide suggestions for improvement. On top of that, Yoast also will analyze and suggest improvements for readability on your site, allows you to change how your site appears in search engines, use breadcrumbs on search results, and more.
